Emergency Shelters
Because disasters are normally unexpected and completely unpredictable the success of handling such a scene relays heavily upon a professional emergency plan.
One of the issues addressed in such a plan is the set up of a temporary shelter to accommodate, among others, the following:
- Patient triage;
- Patient treatment;
- Emergency control centre;
- Field hospital;
- Decontamination shelter;
- Control centre;
- Housing;
- etc..

Paratech Inflatable Airframe Shelter
The Paratech Airframe Shelter is easy to store, simple to raise, convenient to work in and requires minimum care and maintenance.
Inflates in minutes from a compressed air source. Emergency Service crews have their choice of five shelter sizes for a wide range of applications.
Construction
The shelter’s tubular airframe is made from durable Neoprene coated 2-ply nylon. Then the frame is covered with a strong, translucent Neoprene coated, single ply rip stop textile. The floor of the shelter is heavy duty PVC coated nylon. Built to meet the needs of the military and emergency services, the Paratech Airframe Shelter has features that others have yet to copy.
Features
Self contained - no electric power required to inflate or maintain the Airframe Shelter;
- Pressure compensator - built as part of the Airframe, the pressure compensator helps maintain inflation during day/night temperature changes;
- Translucent canopy - Eliminates the need for electric lighting during daylight hours;
- Zippered entrances - Allow the shelters to be “linked” for added work area, sleeper units or offices;
- Removable floors - A must for crime scene work and rescue enclosures. A standard feature in the Models 215 and 388;
- Rapid response inflation - When seconds count, your shelter can be inflated from a high pressure compressed air source.
Available Options
- Portable electric generator;
- Propane heaters with electric fans;
- Electric inflator;
- Lighting kits.
